Sorry people, was having some net problem previously then went for a 4 day work thing so didn’t come online. Yeah hope you have been wanting to read my blog, if not, =(

Well, lunar new year is so different this year. The new year feel is not there. Never mind the angbaos, but the feel is just not there.

Anyway, I just finished my 4 days of taxi counting work at Sim Lim Square. It sounds easy but it is not. My friends at Park Lane were bored to death while Esplanade had party and fireworks set off at Orchard for Chingay. What I had was just people, people and people. Sim Lim Square seems easy to handle but it isn’t. Come to think of it, Sim Lim Square is a place of electronics especially computer and IT related ones. The nearest MRT station is a 5min walk away and the bus stop is 50m away. But who will take bus or MRT when they just bought a CPU? And when the rain came, things got out of hand. Longest queue was 48 in the queue in the 5min interval.

We were sitting at this small area at the side and was just a few metres from a shop. This shop only sells cameras. There are around 5 men working in that shop. The one in around his 30s to 40 with a bald head will say “hello, cameras for you?”, the fat guy will say “hello my friend, cameras?”, the other one is specs will go “hello, check my deals first. 50% off!”, the other 2 old men I don’t see them doing anything at all. Haha. And they will ignore all Singaporeans and anyone from any other nations expect for the whites. Haha. What was unique about them was that they had very little business, actually day 1 was 0 sales and subsequently was about 1 or 2 a day, they had parties everyday. When we reach there at 11 everyday, they had their breakfast, coffee and bread toast and eggs, then at around 1 they will eat their lunch, then when we get back at 4, they will eat again, then at 5-7 they will surely order at least 5 bottles of beer (those big bottles they sell in coffee shops) and at 7-8, they will eat again. Every time they eat, each person will eat 2 shares, which means 2 packets of rice of whatever they eat. Haha. They smoke like breathing in oxygen also, almost every moment they are smoking. Haha. Unique shop that kept me and desmond entertained throughout these 4 days. Haha. Anyway, there were around 900 groups of people taking cab from Sim Lim Square everyday, each group consists of 1-4 persons. So yeah, that’s a lot!
After suffering for 4 days, we were so damn happy. Desmond was practically jumping his way to the MRT station. Haha.

Yesterday was a really happy day spent with my dear. Went for movies, eat, walk walk and everything was so nice! I love you dear! Hehe. Hope we have more such times!
